Mass action against e-tolls to resume TOMORROW

11 February 2013

The Congress of South African Trade Unions in Gauteng will be resuming its campaign of mass action against e-tolls in a demonstration on Monday 11 February.

The action to occupy the highways in another drive-slow protest will assemble at the old Putco bus depot in Marabastad in Tshwane from 06h00.

A march and motorcade will start at 07h30 from the old Putco bus depot in Marabastad, move into Struben Street, turn right into Sisulu Street southbound, then left into Francis Baard Street eastbound.

Then march/motorcade will then stop at McDonalds at Koeksister Crossing and all marchers will get into their vehicles.

The motorcade will continue on to the N4 Highway to the N1 off-ramp, where it will move on to the N1 towards Johannesburg, then at the R21 off-ramp move on to the R21 towards Johannesburg. At the Nelmapius off-ramp it will exit left then turn right and go back on to the R21 towards Pretoria.

At the R21/N1 intersection, the motorcade will stop to allow participants from areas other than Tshwane to take the N1 and go home. The rest of the participants will then drive past Fountains Circle into Nelson Mandela Drive into Van der Walt Street northbound, left into Johannes Ramokhoase Street to the old Putco bus depot in Marabastad. For further information contact:
