SACTWU reaches recommended wage increase settlement in cotton textiles sector

After two conciliation meetings, SACTWU has reached a recommended settlement proposal to resolve a national wage dispute with employers in the Cotton Textile Sector. It involves a 6.75% wage increase, backdated to 1st July this year. The agreement also provides for the introduction of service allowance to members. We are recommending settlement to our members.
