Workers Heritage Exhibition 13-05-08

The Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) invites all members of the media to an exhibition commemorating the 15th anniversary of the deaths of struggle stalwarts Chris Hani and OR Tambo, remembering Solomon Mahlangu, Elijah Barayi, Moses Kotane, John Gomomo and May Day.

The exhibition is part of the ANC-SACP-COSATU Alliance programme, under the auspices of the Historic Preservation, Information and Educational Programme, which will run throughout the year of 2008, targeting learners and workers in Gauteng.

According to COSATU general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi, the exhibition will primarily be compartmentalised into three and interconnected components: photo exhibition, documentary flight and information booklets on these heroes of our movement.

Keynote speakers will be COSATU general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi, SACP general secretary Blade Nzimande, Nehawu president Noluthando Sibiya Mayende and ANC Youth League president Julius Malema.

Exhibition booklets will be distributed to all in attendance and lunch will be served.
