GERT SIBANDE DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY PROPERTY WILL BE ATTACHED

The assets of the Gert Sibande District Municipality will be attached after the municipality ignored the order to reinstate SAMWU member comrade Chris Mahlangu and pay him an amount of R76 000.00.

The order came after an Arbitration tribunal found that Chris Mahlangu had been unfairly dismissed and that the municipality should re-instate him and pay his lost wages.

The municipality refused to comply with the order.

SAMWU is calling upon the ruling party to instruct individuals in this municipality to stop abusing power and reinstate Chris Mahlangu.
