COSATU strike action in W Cape and KZN

The Congress of South African Trade Unions wishes to confirm that its campaign of rolling mass action over the electricity crisis begins tomorrow, 9 July 2008, with strike action in ONLY the Western Cape and KwaZulu Natal.

Action will follow in other provinces on 16 July (Mpumalanga, Free State and Northern Cape) and 23 July (Gauteng, Eastern Cape, North West and Limpopo). There will then be a national strike and nationwide marches on Wednesday 6 August.
