Zwelinzima Vavi
Zwelinzima Vavi, General Secretary of the Congress of South African Trade Unions, was today released from hospital, after successful treatment for bleeding stomach ulcers. He has been ordered to rest until 18 February, from when he will resume his duties. He deeply regrets that he will not therefore be able to attend tomorrow’s funeral of John Gomomo, former President of COSATU, in Uitenhage.
