Cosatu march to SADC summit 13-08-08 |

March to SADC Summit meeting – Saturday 16 August 2008
The Congress of South African Trade Unions, together with the organisations listed below, is to hold a march in support of democracy and human rights in Zimbabwe and Swaziland, and to oppose the participation of the illegitimate dictators, Robert Mugabe and King Mswati III, in the SADC heads of State Summit meeting to be held in Johannesburg.
The march will assemble at the George Lea Park at the corner of Sandton Drive and Marie Street, from 09h00, where they will be addressed by leaders of the participating organisations at 10h00 and then at 11h00 proceed to the Speakers’ Corner outside the Sandton Convention Centre where the Summit is taking place. A memorandum will be handed to the SADC leaders and a Red Card shown to Mugabe and Mswati.
