TOPIC: NATIONAL CONSULTATIVE CONFERENCE ON THE WTO NEGOTIATIONS

The Nedlac social partners, Labour, Business, Government, and the Nedlac Community constituency will be holding a Consultative Conference on the current status of the WTO negotiations with a view to develop and fine-tune the country positions on the key issues on the WTO agenda.

The programme of the conference will cover inter alia;

SA Perspectives on the DOHA Development Round: Deputy Minister Rob Davies.
Overview of the state of play in the Doha Development Round by Faizel Ismail.
Update on state of national preparations by Xavier Carim.

The Minister of Trade and Industry will address the conference and Deputy Minister Davies will give the South African perspectives on the Doha Development Round and will chair a session on NAMA and Environment.
