Cosatu General Secretary Zwelinzima Vavi speaks 23-03-07

 

The media are invited to three important meetings over the next week:

1. Friday 23rd March - Seminar on Swaziland and Zimbabwe

Zwelinzima Vavi, General Secretary of the Congress of South African Trade Unions, will deliver the keynote address to a seminar to examine the situation in Swaziland and Zimbabwe and to discuss what should be done to intensify the struggle for democracy and fundamental social change?

2. Sunday 25th March - Chris Hani Commemoration Rally

Zwelinzima Vavi, General Secretary of the Congress of South African Trade Unions, will also be speaking at a mass rally, organised by the Young Communist League in commemoration of the 14th anniversary of the brutal assassination of the late General Secretary of the South African Communist Party, Cde Chris Hani on 10 April 1993.

Other a speakers at the rally will be the National Secretary of the YCL, Buti Manamela, and the General Secretary of the SACP, Blade Nzimande. The details of the rally are as follows:
