CEPPWAWU support of public sevice workers 06-06-07

 

The Chemical, Energy, Paper, Printing, Wood and Allied Workers Union (CEPPWAWU) supports the Public Sector strike over wages and working conditions.

CEPPWAWU calls upon its members to participate in the solidarity action on Friday 08th June 2007 by embarking on lunch hour demonstrations in support of the strike. We further call upon our members to support the programme of action that will be announced by Cosatu after the CEC meeting on Thursday the 07th June 2007.

CEPPWAWU will consult with its' Lawyers with a view of submitting an application for a secondary strike. We call upon the Government negotiators to settle the strike by meeting the workers demands.
