Cosatu press statement on activities linked to the strike action of the public sector

Cosatu wants to announce the following areas of mass action linked to the strike action of the public services:

1. 17h 00 Tuesday 12th June 2007 --the Defence Force unions will be picketing at 17h00 at Parliament in Cape Town demonstrating there support for the public service strikes
2. 13H 00 to 14H 30 Wednesday 13th June 2007 - rally/ picket to be held at Parliament - by all workers across the sectors of Cosatu The Cosatu mass action programme will start in solidarity with the public sector unions and be expanded next week. All the unions of Cosatu will be supporting the public service strike
3. Cosatu would also want''s to announce its support for the workers at Ertjies kloof farm who have been put out of there houses by the farmer and the police.
4. Pickets will be held at all workplaces for the duration of the strike
