Educator, systems infrastructure and AccreditationCOSATU PRESS RELEASE
SITUATION IN MOUTSEThe Congress of South African Trade Unions in Limpopo has today, 21 February, called for an urgent Alliance meeting to discuss the current situation in Moutse. This call came as a result of concerns raised by COSATU leaders in Sekhukhune about the fact that there is no schooling in the area as a result of threats to educators, disruptions of meetings and the continued instability in the area.
It is our considered view that as Alliance we must develop a coherent political strategy to bring stability and resolve the issues that are being raised in Moutse. The Alliance has always confronted difficult situations and the situation in Moutse is no different.
We further call upon the MEC of Education, Dr Aaron Motswaledi to withdraw threats against educators in the area and join in the efforts to resolve the situation.
