COSATU North West listening campaign


Press statement


The Congress of South African Trade Unions will be having a listening campaign as part of our consolidation working class power for intensification of our Jobs and power campaign. The media is invited to the activity. It will be addressed by National Alliance leaders, including Comrade Matthew Phosa and YCL National leaders. COSATU calls on all farm workers, domestic workers, farm communities, students, SACP, ANC, YCL, ANCYL, ANCWL and churches to attend.

COSATU Deputy Chairperson's funeral arrangements


The Congress of South African Trade Unions has lost one of their key provincial leaders, Comrade Ingrid Tube, who was the deputy chairperson of COSATU in the province who passed away on 30 November 2007 after she was admitted on 26 November 2007 at Bophelong Hospital in Mafikeng.


Comrade Ingrid Tube will be buried on 8 December 2007, 6H30 at Montshioa Township. The funeral will be addressed by COSATU's 2nd Deputy President, Comrade Violet Seboni.


All members of civil society, all workers around Mafikeng including alliance are requested to attend and pay the last respect to our provincial deputy chairperson.
