Creative Workers Union of South Africa
Founding Congress
The media are invited to the historic Founding Congress of the Creative Workers Union of South Africa (CWUSA), a merger of the Performing Arts Workers Equity and the Musicians Union of South Africa, which will bring together all the country's workers in the arts and culture sector. The new union will provide a platform for all our creative workers to tackle the challenges the sector faces, such as preventing exploitation, stopping piracy, providing proper social security and ensuring that all workers are covered by the provisions of the country's labour laws.
Witness and record the creative workers taking charge of their destiny!
