COSATU calls for inquiry into allegations against minister

The Congress of South African Trade Unions notes with concern the grave allegations being made in the Sunday Times about the conduct of the Minister of Health, Manto Tshabalala-Msimang. We will not comment on the allegations, as they are to be contested in court.

We support the President's call on the Sunday Times to produce their evidence for the allegations, but in view of their seriousness, COSATU urges the president to conduct a full investigation into the allegations to establish whether, and to what degree, they are true or false.
