The Congress of South African Trade Union welcomes the announcement by Tony Leon that he will not be seeking reelection as leader of the Democratic Alliance. We believe that he must go. Under his leadership the DA has shifted from a liberal ideology to an outright right-wing, conservative stance. He became a shop steward for big busines and an enemy of the workers.
