COSATU congratulates TAC

The Congress of South African Trade Unions warmly congratulates the Treatment Action Campaign on their Cape High Court victory over Matthias Rath. He has been stopped from claiming the TAC was acting as a front for the multinational pharmaceutical industry by promoting antiretroviral drugs for people with Aids.

COSATU has always held TAC in the highest regard and rejected Rath's allegations with contempt. We look forward to working even more closely with TAC and the SA Council of Churches, in our joint campaign to save lives and start to roll back the deadly HIV/Aids epidemic.
