Solidarity action in support of strikers at Kraft Foods

Up to a thousand workers will be marching tomorrow, 1 August, in support of 384 workers employed by Kraft Foods, a division of the multinational Kraft Foods SA, members of the Food and Allied Workers’ Union [FAWU], who have just entered the 11th week of strike action in pursuit of noble and reasonable demands.

Around 500 members of NUMSA employed at Forscass, Toyota Fork Lifts and Circuit Breaker Industries will march to the Kraft Foods plant at 36 Gross Street, Elandsfontein at 12h00. The media are very welcome to attend.

The Congress of South African Trade Unions is calling on all other workers to join this march and show their solidarity with the FAWU strikers.
