WTO agreement on Non-Agricultural Market Access
The Congress of South African Trade Unions invites you to a media conference at which we will announce the launch of a massive national and international campaign in opposition to the World Trade Agreement (WTO) on Non-Agricultural Market Access which is being vigorously pursued by the developed countries and the WTO.
COSATU and many other union federations and NGOs around the world see this agreement leading to a catastrophe. It is an agreement designed solely to benefit the rich and powerful Northern nations, which will have devastating consequences for the majority of the world's population in the poor Southern, nations.
Come and hear our plans to save the world's poor from this looming disaster and ensure that South Africa's plans for development are not designated to the dustbins of history.
