May Day 2006 Media alert

The Congress of South African Trade Unions invites the media to our May Day rallies, which are listed below, with venues, speakers and contact people, who will be glad to give you further information.

The focus this year is on HIV/AIDS crisis and the urgent need to speed up the distribution of antiretrovirals to all those who need them, and save thousand of lives. The rallies will also take forward COSATU's Jobs and Poverty Campaign and highlight the threat to jobs posed by the pending WTO agreements on non-agricultural market access and services. A statement for May Day will be issued shortly.
