Vacancy for COSATU Mpumalanga Regional Office

Regional Educator/Organiser

COSATU needs to fill a vacant position of the Regional Organiser/Educator at its regional office in Mpumalanga based in Witbank.

We are looking for the following skills profile:

• Ability to organise and develop organisational structures.
• Communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate campaigns and to manage programmes
• Skills in training adults in trade union and labour related matters that might range from economics to labour market issues.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following areas of work:

• Develop cadres by delivering education and training for locals and affiliates leadership on policy.
• Co-ordinate campaigns and link with COSATU affiliates and education programmes.
• Ensure proper service to workers through the above working programmes.
• Assist and work with Regional Secretary.
• Assist and work with the Education Secretary in national programmes.
• Assist and work Organisation Secretary in national programmes
• Assist in coordination of gender activities.

Requirements:

• Good knowkedge of COSATU policies.
• Valid driver's license
• Willingness to work beyond normal hours
