COSATU Central Committee

The Central Committee of COSATU is the second highest decision-making structure of the federation. It meets annually between congresses to set policy and adopt resolutions to supplement the policies adopted at National Congress.

The leadership of the Federation also meets in sessions of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) twice annually to consider policy matters, and of the Executive Committee (Exco) month) to consider operational and administrative issues and to drive the negotiations strategy of the federation. However, these meetings normally take place in closed session.
